MDF cabinets doors have become increasingly popular over the past two decades with the wide adaptation of Nesting CNC Machines. As a result, the need for tooling with exceptionally long edge life and high cutting quality greatly increased. There is commonly a need to machine a recesses in MDF panels in order to achieve various door front designs. One of the most common designs is the Shaker Door style. QIC has developed an exceptional option of machining the recess that is required in MDF. The tool is a 2+2 Diamond Tipped Router available in a few different diameters to facilitate the speed in production based on door size. The tool will leave an excellent finish on the bottom and the edge of the tool reducing the amount of sanding required after machining. The tool offered individually as well as mounted in an ISO 30 or HSK63 F thermo chuck for even longer tool life and machining accuracy. The PCD clean out tool can last typically between 20-50 X longer that carbide tooling.
