Keyhole Bits are designed to allow the bit to plunge into material, move laterally forward then back exiting the same spot it entered the material. This allows a channel in material mor narrow at the top than the bottom. This can be used on point-to-point machines, router tables and handheld routers. Common applications are for mounting frames, shelves, storage racks and other pieces flush against walls.
